In 2002 I inherited 110 of my great uncle Sals masks with over 20,000 large format negatives with prints and some pretty bizarre artwork soon after I got everything I opened up Terracina West Studios I hung 65 masks throughout the house and studio the mask you’re looking at right here was from a set of twins call to dominatrix twins This is one of the first portfolios I did with the set of twins the other one is it in the frame I like cropping it like this the model was definitely hypnotized By both of the masks

This photo you’re looking at has been published in six different countries and six different languages around the world in 1951 during the Korean War at the time Sal was a undercover photographer for the OSS that was CIA back then he traveled around the world photographing ships in transit and ports he traveled on a couple of different merchant marine ships his cover was working for the seafarers union
