Back in the 70s and early 80s I did a lot a sunset sunrise postcards in posters for Key West Florida published under Kennedy Studios also worked for the Key West citizen newspaper back then last month Lisa and I went on vacation to the West Coast of Florida I took this photo with my iPhone I guess I still got it
You will see this little guy in many of Sals photographs Besides being in the Wizard of Oz in 1939 Sal got him a job 10 years later in 1949 at the bazaar traveling carnival world of mirth after working with Sal for three years Sal negotiated a contract for him With the Phillip Morris tobacco company as their poster boy 1953
In 1943 Sal “second studio in Manhattan he did something a little different he bought a bunch of old clothes so he could dress people up like they look at the turn-of-the-century that’s my grandmother and grandfather on the left Captain Tony’s first wife and my dad aggravated sitting on the floor and my aunt Tonia On the right with her a little doll
After Sal was sent to the psychic Center and the age of 14 the Catholic Church thought he might be special They found a body buried in a box in the back of Saint Patrick’s Church in New Jersey they asked Sal to take a look at it and maybe so I would think of where it came from true story
