99% of every photo on this site is either my great uncle Sal’s mine or Captain Tony’s every once in a while I come across the image that I just really like this is one of them
Interesting picture here Lisa and I are on one of our Key West trips we both work from my grandfather at the bar here I started working at the door 45 years ago I worked at door on and off for seven years maybe I should’ve been away at college but I think I got a better education from Key West the door and the captain here I am standing again in front of the door at the age of 63 same age when I work for my grandfather I got some stories and Lisa to we are going to put together a hell of a book Key West the way it was Of course everybody has great stories in Key West I think ours are better mostly because every incredible story has a photo back up that’s the key to this great book we’re going to do

In 1994 I was left home alone with my first son James Bond Terracina that’s right on the birth certificate and on his drivers license one day he’s going to be the one to be in charge of all the stories and images with my other son the Bond thing will only help When he was younger he was a little angry about the name but now he likes it I think
If you know anything about my history of photography one of my claim to fame is hanging on the streets of New York City it for 30 years always caring a camera there’s a camera store I managed on the corner of 31st and Broadway I stood outside I like taking pictures right around the corner was the methadone clinic for heroin attic‘s Sometime I felt I was it a zombie movie I photographed lots of them I have even been attacked a couple times for doing it but my passion for the image always overrides my fear check out my Image bank of New York mia5.com 65,000 of just my work that I edited out of 300,000 a art project still in the works
I’m always talking about the three different magazines I work for back in the late 80s and 90s this is New Jersey New Jersey issue we also had a New York one and the third one pink that went to every strip club in America quarterly the New York and New Jersey issue was a monthly which means I work seven days a week and nights taking pictures selling ads doing portfolios and of course partying I did this for a little over three years ended up starting a nice little agency supplied Howard stern with all those Snapple girls and ended up being around the Bob Berkowitz show real personal on CNBC that went nationwide I was rolling then I let it all go to do the wife and kid thing Two boys a stepdaughter A cat a dog beautiful house with a white picket fence and a pool that lasted about seven years funny coincidence same amount of time I spent in Key West I believe every man has to put some family time in It could be short or long or good or bad but we all have to do it
Photographing on the streets I was Manhattan for 30 years you meet a lot of people and learn a lot of things these two knuckleheads right here would set up every day next-door to my store because there was scaffolding there they would pretend to be homeless with no money and nowhere to go everybody would bring them food and they would make a couple hundred dollars a day by heroine and Heineken‘s they would shoot the heroine up Under a blanket this went on for months many people Tried to help them they didn’t want help they were actually 10 feet away from my store I’ll tell you one thing a lot of people gave them incredible food every day and they were always happy I am hundreds of pictures of them And others who do the same thing I could probably do a book on it
